Media Production / Video Editor Intern

An internship where I worked on social impact campaigns, using video editing, photography, videography, and visual storytelling to share the stories and experiences of persons with disabilities.

Will You See Me is a social impact campaign highlighting the experiences, abilities and aspirations of persons with disabilities. My role involved contributing to the production and post-production of campaign content, transforming footage and interviews into stories designed to create awareness and encourage greater inclusivity.

Towards the end of my internship, I was tasked with combining three episodes from the Will You See Me campaign into one cohesive video. My role involved reviewing the existing episodes, identifying key moments and restructuring the content to create a smoother overall narrative.

I was tasked with creating a compilation showcasing my supervisor's portfolio across her different social impact campaigns. The objective was to bring together projects from different campaigns into one cohesive visual presentation.

Throughout my internship, I also documented workshops and community programmes through photography and videography. I then edited the footage into short highlight videos that captured the atmosphere, interactions, and impact of each session.

As part of my internship under IAMinVISIBLE, I participated in the Youth Corps Community Initiative (YCCI), which provided opportunities to engage with different communities while developing skills beyond the technical aspects of media production.

Participated in community engagement activities with children, including arts and crafts sessions. The experience allowed me to step outside my usual media role and develop greater confidence when communicating and interacting with others.

Spent time engaging with seniors through activities such as making dumplings together. The experience gave me the opportunity to connect with people from a different generation and better understand the importance of patience, communication and genuine interaction.
